Census – Road network files

The 2001 Census Skeletal Road Network File contains selected streets with names (but not address ranges) that are ranked according to four levels of detail. The different levels of detail are suitable for mapping at small to medium scales.

The 2001 Census files are available in ArcInfo® (file extension: .e00, spatial and tabular data) and MapInfo® (file extensions: .MIF, graphic data, and .MID, tabular data) formats.

A reference guide, in PDF format, is included within download files.
