In 2011, Innisfail (Town) had a population of 7,876, representing a percentage change of 7.4% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 19.53 square kilometres with a population density of 403.2 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.
