Description

This figure shows the proportion of the working-age population (aged 15 to 64), in percentage, in the G8 countries for 2006 and 2011. In 2011, Canada had one of the highest proportions of the working-age population among the G8 countries. The following are the values for each country, beginning with those for 2006, followed by those for 2011 (or 2010 depending on data availability): 71.2% and 72.0% in Russia, 68.6% and 68.5% in Canada, 67.1% and 66.9% in the United States, 66.2% and 66.0% in the United Kingdom, 66.7% and 65.9% in Germany, 66.2% and 65.7% in Italy, 65.1% and 64.7% in France, and 65.5% and 63.5% in Japan.
