Description

This figure shows the growth, in percentage, of age groups in Canada between 2006 and 2011. Overall, the population growth rate for Canada was 5.9%. For the different age groups, the growth rate was 11.0% for those aged 0 to 4, 0.0% for those 5 to 9, -7.7% for those 10 to 14, 1.8% for those 15 to 19, 5.1% for those 20 to 24, 9.3% for those 25 to 29, 7.1% for those 30 to 34, -1.6% for those 35 to 39, -10.9 for those 40 to 44, 2.1% for those 45 to 49, 12.8% for those 50 to 54, 12.3% for those 55 to 59, 29.1% for those 60 to 64, 23.3% for those 65 to 69, 9.4% for those 70 to 74, 4.9% for those 75 to 79, 8.6% for those 80 to 84, 24.6% for those 85 to 89, 22.4% for those 90 to 94, 24.0% for those 95 to 99, and 25.7% for those 100 and over.
